Finally, an English muffin!!!

For anyone who’s followed me, or known me for a long time, the idea of having bread back in my life seemed to be a far-fetched idea.  I’ve tried SCD compliant bread recipes, and having a “delicate palette”, never liked the results.  So, pretty much, I gave up the idea of ever having bread again, until lately!!

One of my friends, Debi, who lives in California, posted a picture of Mikey’s muffins.  When I read the ingredients, I was AMAZED!!  Check it out:

Everything listed are things I can eat!!  Can you imagine how excited I was?  I ran right out to Sprout’s and looked for them, but to no avail.  Not being beaten, I talked to the frozen foods guy and had him order them.  This is a photo of the front of the box, in case you’d like to try them too.

Now, Sprouts keeps them in the back freezer for me, which makes me feel special!  Although, someone else has found them as well, and has been depleting my supply, hehe.  Just means they order more frequently, and maybe they’ll get them on the shelf.

How do they taste?  Well, they don’t taste like regular English muffins, because they aren’t made with wheat, but they work just FINE as English muffins!  Feel free to put honey on them, or jam, and they will satisfy your English muffin cravings.

Mikey’s Muffins  has more products including pizza crusts, but they also offer three flavors of English muffins: Original, Cinnamon Raisin, and Toasted Onion.  I can’t wait to try the other flavors!  If you, or someone else you know struggles with not being able to have bread, I highly recommend checking out Mikey’s.

See, there ARE companies out there that are getting a clue and recognizing people like me/us with super restrictive diets.   There’s hope folks!  Keep on looking for them!  Let me know if you find another such company, I’d love to see what they have.
